About the project: Harbinger evaluated the economic impact of San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and the potential impact of seven initiatives—proposed and underway.

In 2009 every federal dollar invested in the park generated $20 in local economic activity. By enacting or completing the seven key initiatives, the park could more than double its economic impact by 2016 – creating some 1,200 new jobs and over $115 million in additional local sales. Not only would these initiatives provide an economic boost for south San Antonio, they would help complete the story and adequately preserve valuable historic resources at San Antonio Missions.

Harbinger collaborated with the Center for Community and Business Research at the University of Texas-San Antonio to evaluate economic impacts.
