Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Education

Kids and frog

In a project funded by U.S. AID and the Project WET International Foundation, Harbinger contributed to the development of hands-on, interactive educational materials that have reached over 10 million children in Africa, mostly in the Nile River Basin.

In the first three years following publication in 2007, more than 830,000 copies of the interactive educational guides on water, sanitation, and hygiene were put into service at 1,000 schools in central and southern Africa.

The educator and children’s activity booklets are available in English, French, and Kiswahili, and have also been translated and adapted for use in Bolivia, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, and Peru.
