In August 2023, 100 finalists in the selection process to host one of 65 Economic Recovery Corps fellows took part in a 6-week accelerator to refine proposed project plan, learn more about the practical aspects of hosting a fellow, and engage with peers from across the country. Harbinger helped build an online community platform to connect the group, provide a central place for getting information to them and gather work plans, project descriptions and other deliverables from the 100 finalists.

Following that, Harbinger has worked with ERC leadership to convert the platform into a more robust online gathering place to support information flow, shared learning, and access to resources among fellows, hosts and national partners.

The Economic Recovery Corps is a new, collaborative initiative designed to accelerate recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in distressed communities and regions throughout the U.S. by connecting organizations with the talent and capacity needed to advance new ways of doing economic development that promote economic resilience and transformative change.
